Manufactured in nearby Lowell Massachusetts, Hoods Sarsaparilla was a popular medicinal tonic. Wow, this bottle dates from 1875-1880! Contained sarsaparilla rooy, dandelion, juniper berries and 18% alcohol among other ingredients. After the death of Charles Hood in 1922, the popularity of the drink declined.
